The Woman Behind the Lens
Hello, I'm Heather — and I believe every family deserves a photographer who actually sees them.
I've been a professional photographer for over eight years, specialising in newborn, maternity and family photography across Bradford and West Yorkshire. But the longer story starts much earlier — with a baby sister I desperately wanted to remember, and a disposable camera that wasn't quite up to the job.
That's when I understood, even as a child, that photographs are not about the camera. They're about noticing — seeing the things that will matter long after the moment has passed.
Today I work with families across Bradford, Leeds, Harrogate and the wider West Yorkshire area. I hold full professional indemnity insurance and a valid DBS Enhanced Disclosure.
Most importantly — I will never rush your session.
My Approach
What it feels like to work with me
Every session is different, but the care you receive is always the same.
| 1 |
A Genuine Conversation First Before anything is booked, I take time to understand what you're hoping for. We talk through your family, your style, any nerves — because I want you to arrive already feeling at ease. |
| 2 |
A Session Designed Around You Studio or outdoors, props or minimal, formal or playful — I design something that fits your family's personality, not a template. |
| 3 |
Gentle Direction and Real Moments I guide you through poses naturally, then step back and watch. The best photographs happen when children are exploring and parents forget the camera is there. |
| 4 |
Editing with Intention My editing style is warm, natural and timeless. I want your photographs to look beautiful in twenty years — not just today. |

Your Gallery and Beyond I'll help you choose prints, albums or wall art for your home. Photographs belong on your walls, not forgotten on a hard drive. |
Photographs are not about the camera. They're about noticing.
